Do you ever want to go back in time and experience what life was like again when you first started out as a Biotech freshman? Well, here’s a day in the life of one.
As the first period bell rings on an A-Day, I head up the stairs and go to room 214. There, I have my first class of the day, English 1 with Mrs. McGowan. When the next bell rings, signaling the start of Block 2, I stay on the same floor and stroll over to the CAD Lab. There, Mr. Levinson is teaching the freshmen about AP Computer Science Principles. Once that 10:20 bell rings, my friends and I sprint down to the lunchroom in order to save a table for ourselves. If I had a club meeting to attend, I’d go there first and eat lunch in the cafeteria once I’m free. If there are no meetings that day, my friends and I either go outside or go to the Media Center to catch up on some work during the second block of lunch. For my Block 4 class, I head to Intro to Biology with Mrs. Alvarez. There, we learn about the science of life up until 12:50. Then, my friends and I sprint upstairs to the other side of the building, to make sure we are on time for our last block, World Cultures with Mr. Martin. There, he will expand our knowledge on important events in worldwide history. However, once that 2:15 bell rings, I will always leave as quickly as possible.
Things are a little different on B-Days. Instead of having English 1 for my first class of the day, I will attend Algebra 2 with Mr. Shafaie. As he teaches us while my brain is still waking up, I think about the next class I will have. When that bell rings, I walk downstairs and head to the Fitness Center. There, I will either be learning important things for my health, or running on the treadmill. After that workout, I get to treat myself to lunch. In the afternoon, instead of Biology, I have Chemistry with Ms. Amster. There, we will conduct experiments until the bell rings. Afterwards, I head up the stairs and attend my Spanish 1 class with Mrs. Larsen. As the clock finally reaches 2:15, I head down and take the bus home! ❧
